Both are rated per 1,000 sq ft. Divide your measured turf area by 1,000 and multiply by the bag’s per-1,000 rate — a 6,000 sq ft lawn needs six units.

Yes. Trace the turf for lawn treatments applied per 1,000 sq ft, or trace the whole yard if you’re treating beyond the grass for grubs or mosquitoes.
